Below information obtained from the "About Us" section @ www.asrcollection.com:Established in 2001, ASR Collection has grown from a hobby of Detroit native Ashley Sierra Reed into something so much more. Back in high school Reed didn’t like the clothing options that were available to her in stores and so she decided to create her own line. The line started off with hand painted clothing items with rhinestones and studs and evolved as the young designer started to have a following.
Now at the age of 24, Reed has graduated from two educational institutions, Michigan State University and New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and owns a successful company. The clothing line is currently a women’s line with everything from t-shirts, to hoodies, sunglasses and blazers. Each t-shirt concept is created by Reed and is a mix of vintage and present icons with concepts and trends/styles that express ones individuality and self expression.
The clothing line and Reed have been featured in many publications such as Right On! Magazine, Chicken Soup for the Extraordinary Teenage Soul, Business Week’s Top 25 under 25 Entrepreneurs of 2007, and recently Edge Magazine.
With expansion and growth of the company going on every day, ASR Collection aspires to be an inspiration to young people and also a company that will be around for years to come.
